Planting Seeds of Intention

Spring is the time of vision and manifestation. As the Earth slowly begins to thaw out from winter, spring reminds us to put our ideas, dreams and passions into action. It’s a beautiful season full of unlimited potential to create the life we desire. But before we can co-create with the universe, we are first encouraged to let go of the things that no longer serve us through meditation. A spring cleaning of the body, mind and spirit to declutter negative thought patterns and purge self-limiting beliefs. When we identify beliefs that no longer serve our highest good, we create space for elevated beliefs to take their place. Our mindset transforms from negative to positive. “I am not strong enough” becomes “I am strong”. “I can’t” into “I can”. Ideas, dreams and passions that once seemed impossible are now imminent. We are called to follow our inner purpose and live our lives to the fullest.
So how do we channel the energy of spring to bring our ideas, dreams and passions into fruition? We start by planting seeds of intentions. Here are five steps we can take to set intentions and manifest the lives we were destined to live:

First, we have to know exactly what we desire. What does it look like? What does it sound, smell and taste like? And most importantly, how does it make us feel? Once we are clear on what we want, we need to transform our ideas, dreams and passions into positive statements that affirm the truth of who we are. For instance, if we want to manifest more money into our lives, we might set the intention as “I am a money-maker” or “Money flows to me easily and freely.”

Second, sit down and meditate in silence every day even if it’s only for five minutes. When we meditate, we send a powerful message to the Universe that we’re ready to co-create. Every thought we have generates a specific emotional vibration that affects our psychological wellbeing, and in turn, the actions we take in our lives. Although the Universe doesn’t recognize language, it hears and responds to the emotions we feel. And when we enter a place of “no mind” as Eckhart Tolle likes to call it, we surrender our dreams to the Universe, allowing it work its creative magic.

Third, visualize each intention manifesting into reality. What does it look like? Notice which details are crystal clear. This is the Universe showing glimpses of what’s possible. If certain details aren’t clear, don’t worry. Trust that the Universe will orchestrate the fulfillment of each intention.
Next, write down each intention and journal about how each one will manifest into existence. Because energy flows where attention goes, there’s something incredibly powerful about writing things down. It makes them more attainable and less intimidating.

Take action! No matter how big or small these actions may be, it’s important that we take the necessary steps and initiate changes in our lives in order for our intentions to flourish. It puts momentum behind our intentions, propelling us in the direction of our dreams.

Most importantly, let go. According to Deepak Chopra, “An intention is a directed impulse of consciousness that contains the seed form of that which you aim to create. Like real seeds, intentions can’t grow if you hold on to them”. So, release them into the fertile depths of your unconscious because we deserve to blossom into the most beautiful expression of who we are.
